President's
Message

R odney Houghton, Past President of
the College, had a fantastic year,
culminating with the 1992 Annual
Meeting in Palm Desert. It is through
Rodney's efforts that the College ex-
panded its horizons by establishing the
Elder Law, Guardianship and Health
Law Committee, as well as the Fidu-
ciary Litigation Committee. At the same
time, Rodney kept the College focused
on federal tax matters and challenges
that the Fellows are confronted with as
trust and estate practitioners in the area
of practice standards or guidelines, which
is the forefront of the work of the Profes-
sional Standards Committee. Again,
Rodney is to be congratulated on an
outstanding year and an outstanding
Annual Meeting.
As the College moves forward with
an increased volume of activities, re-
sulting from the increased number of
Committees and Committee member
appointments, as well as the greater in-
volvement of State Chairs at the Fall and
