            1.  The information obtained in the nane check of DmiIDsoN reveals that
         Subject is an aggressive intermational businessman who would possitay
         participato in any business proposition for a coimission; however, when
         negotiating with representatives of other countries, ;1bject usual].y protects
         himself by reporting the business propos tLion to a U.S. Government agency
         or official. The name ch   reveals that the relationship betreen
         f'ey Pearson and         may have resulted from Subject's personal contact -
         Wi th both nm. The information re         |may have reached Pearson                _
         through Subject's office associates.

            2.  Te  foll.ouing are the details of the check on Subject.

                a.  Subject, a U.S. citizen, born 19 January 1921, is married and
            maintains his residence snd office in ashington, D.C. As reported by
            KUJtrdP, 8 fiovember 1955, Subject ehaed his office suite in tio Wytt
            Building with Jamsa Farrisa, a former 0LmCID er.alaye, and Jack
            Northam Anderson and Frederick G. Bluserthal, iWashington representative.
            of PARAE magasine.  Frederick G. Blumenthal is a former ircw Pearon
            leg-uan Mile Anderson continues to work for Pearson.

               b.  An ODE!IVY report dated 6 Nomveber 1957, stated that Subject
            filed a registration statement, No. 886, 18 April 1955, with the
            Foreign Agents Registration Section, iepartnent of Justice. Subject
            listed as his foreign principal President A. Somosa, Republic of
            Nicaragua. 'he nature and purpose of his representing the foreign
            principal was given as purchasing agent for various bureaus of the
            Republic of Nicaragua, including the military forces. He also stated
            that he dealt in general public relations and was self-employed.
            Another OIZNVY raport of 18 Jane 1957 stated that Subject listed his
            occupation as a Public Relations Comasel and Business Consultant in
            a report to a local credit bureau. The report indicated that Subject.
            prwviouosly spent some time in Cuba, Mexico, Nicaragua, and the
            Da1irca  Republic and is well acquainted si th various business and
            gover   t officials in.the above-mentioned locations.

               ce  (i several occasions in the past Subject volunteered information
           to various governzmt agencies and offered his assistance to the
           U..  Government. In an OiEIt  report dated 15 September 3950, Subjeot
           advised that through a friend, Max Henriques, who Subject claimed .to be
           a representative for the -bainican Republic to the Uhited Nations,
           Subject had become acquainted with Vincente Toledano, and was
           sufficiently close to him to obtain important information concerning
           activities of the CEmunist Party in Mexico. Subject offered his
           assistance to the U.S. Government in this matter. According to a
           KUJ1W' report, submitted by the Office of International Trade, dated
           1953, Subject furnished information regarding travel in 1950 between
           Ibxico and the USSR and infomation on trans-shijpxtte through Mxco..
