A  former Cuban IS officer, who served with the Cuban  Intelligence
Service  until April  1964.

The  following report is one  of a series containing  personality
information  provided by the  source and includes supplemental
information  from the records  of this Agency.

It  is requested that the addressees  take no action on  any of
the  individuals mentioned  in the personality reports without
first  checking with this Agency.


Source  identified a photograph of  (fnu) JORRIN and described  him
as a' Cuban who  s the portero  (gatekeeper) at the Cuban  Embassy
in Mexico City.  ,2

Headquarters Comments


1.  The records  of this Agency  reveal that (fnu) JORRIN  is very
    possibly  identical with Herberto  JORRIN Munioz, described as
    both a  doorman and a gardener  at the Cuban Embassy in Mexico
    City,  a follower of Fidel CASTRO,  and believed to be a
    Communist.

2. Official   travel manifests reveal  the following trips taken
    by Herberto  JORRIN Muioz:  Cuba to Mexico,  May 1962, Special
    passport E62/203;  Mexico to Cuba. May  1962; Cuba to Mexico,
    April 1963.  Special passport E63/233; Mexico  to Cuba, April
    1963; Cuba to Mexico,  17 May 1963; Mexico  to Cuba, 30 July
    1964; and Cuba  to Mexico, 10 October  1964.  On all the
    manifests JORRIN's  occupation was listed  as either diplomat
    or government employee.
