.Forwarded under separate cover as Attachment A are two LIENVOY
transcripts of 12 November 1965 and two LIETTVOY transcripts of I.T nvemher
1965 which Headquarters may consider for transmittaL to S2TaYTion[J.

                        2. Forwarded under separate cover as A.achment B is a photor'.aph of
an unildentified male (who was accompanied by an uni.entificd. Lomo1c whose
photograpi the Station asset did not obtain) who visiLted the Soviet 2mb.assy
at. 1400 hours on 12 November 1965. The Station believes this iale is iden-
tical with Subject since the male in the photograph is the only unilen..ified
male who was also accompanied by a woman and, secondly, this male appears
to. be a nordic type. The Station recognizes, however, that Subject may have
only claimed to be a Swede for cover purposes.

.. The following is the comment made by Douglas J. FEINGLASS, he
Station I s LIENVOY translator, concerning Attachment A:

The exact spelling of this neme could not be detennziined. He
ctarted by saying that it is -- W - A - IT.. and then stopped, cimphasizin:
the. two dots above A. It is very strange that he, beini- a Gwe:'e did o'
Seek the aid of his Swedish Consulate, but applied to the Soviet Y'm-
hosy and asked for a man, whom he mi:ne by chanc2 (7) in restL-trant.
Th-.it stranger still is the response of .he Fnbassy officials, who Went
out of their way to find a ship for him. Usually requests of his
nature are brushed aside a.nd quite oftcn in v. very mi.el.n manner. Ji vln.
from his non-British accent and almost flawless English, he must have
lived in .he United States or Canada for quite some time. (Two Stai 0],
WTA-IOOD officer agrees with FEING1AS' conuncnt regarding '..he I- tal re-
lctance of Sovriet Embassy officials to help in a mater of th . a type.

., Station lexico has no record o. any member of the Soviet 1. ;bassyz
