Reaident in December 1953 at 2718 Pacheco St., San Francisco, California 1. Following information supplements a Memorandum for the Record. dated £6 Aprilt 1961, subject: krofessor Tatyana CIZEVSKA ake Tanya CHIZHhVSKA (201-280081), which included information from a sensitive rettable foreign source to the effect that, as of September 1960. a Margarit BARBERAT, believed identical with subject, was an American student at the University of Leningrad. The same memoran- dumn also indicated that subject bad apparently attended the University of California at Berkeley during the Spring Semester of 19601 also, that she was 'A malt contact from the USSBR with Stephan ska Steve VIEDLR- MAN, of the lnter-Univereity Committee at the University of Indiana. Bloomington. Indiana. According to the same memorandum. subject was in contact in Leningrad with Professor CIZEVSKA and presumably also had some contact or at est knew Wiam Hamiltos MARTIN (Z01*Z8Z338). Z. A recently completed name check on subject reveals that she to undeubtedly identical with 4arguerite Jeanne BARBERAT, the daughter of Louis Antoine BARBERAT and Madeleine Marie-Franoise BARBLRAT nee BEGUE, French Nationat who had formerly resided at Mukden and Tsingtae, China.' As of 19 February 1952, Louis and Madeleine BARBERAT, together with daughter Marguerite Jeanne. were applicants in Paris, France, for a U.S. Immigration Visa. (c.f. ZJYA 4089. datedZ6 February 195£, Enclosure 2) At the time of their visa application. Louis BARBERAT listed two other daughters, Josette BARBERAT, French National, resident at 8 Route de Corbeil, Ville- moleson, (S k O), France, and Solange BARBERAT of the same address. As one of his character references, Louis BARBAAT listed W. G. YOURIEFF of San Francisco. who is identical with VLadimir George YURYEV, who has been reported to have maintained close business relations with the Japanese during the occupation of Tsingtao and there- from to have made a considerable amount of money.
