               B. MI2XI 0451

ACTION RLQUIRLD: See paras 2 and 3.

             1. Reference A forwarded copies of signatures believed
to be those of Viktor L. KIIUKHOREV and Sergey S. KUKIIARENKO
and requested that the Station be advised of the results
of a LURIOT test to determine if KIIUKIIORI*V could have signed
the letter from the Soviet Information Bulletin postal address
to the San Dieso Union and Evening Tribune. Attached is a
copy of a memorandum from KUliOT setting forth the inconclusive
     - results of the test.

            2. Regarding the tynewriting of the letter to San Diego,
KURIOT believes that the letter was typed on a machine with a
keyboard for a language other than English. Please forward
representative samples of Soviet typing, including the Spanish
samplet from the Biullotin office mentioned in Reference B.
(Tf possible pleaseindtwo copies of each sample so that
one may be retained in the 6CORONA files.)

. On A CORONA in general, when time permits please survey
your stock of Soviet handwrlting, typewriting, letterheads, etc.,
and send to KURTOT copies of samples not already forwarded. A
relatively complete file of this type for Soviets in Mexico
can be a significant annlytical aid.
