received the TAT and a Free Adoociation Test, ucins a list of words
that was copecially prepared for him. On that date, he promisod
to como back to bring a list that he had made of all his soizures
since September 1942 up to the present time, with an indication of
the eotional problems that ho had on tho.days he was sick, This

- In a caso such as this, it io obvious that organic factors are the
main determinant of the patient'a disoce, but from the interview.
and tho tests, we received the impression that the patient's motion-:
at state has often played a certain role in tri.gerinp his epileptic
soizurba. Psychothorapoutic treatment that would enable this pa-
tient to gain better control of his emotions would obviously be high-
     ly beneficial for him,

This subject was riot formally tested in order to determLno his 1.Q.
but frorm-his conversation and from his responzes to the personality
tosts, it is quite clear that he is a man endocd with a cuperior
intolligence, atchough somo impairmont has ncceganrily resulted be-
cause of his frequent epileptic seizures, cnd, recently, because of
his brain surgery, Ho-was not tesed for intelli-ence because it was
not feasiblo to do so since his operation had been done just a few
weeks ago and the pooobility of some transiont effects of the sur-
gical procedure mL.ht still influence any results. However, from a
strictly clinical viewpoint, when comparin, the cubject's reaction
before and after the operation, the amount of imepairment produced
by the operation does not seem to be really considorable, and, on the
other hand, there is a remarkable decrease in his anxiety,
