FYI REA- 6706, 16 October 1984 1, The author of the letter repbrted in reference is AMLEAK-1 who, in his 'role as Foreign Affairs Secretary in AUSCROLL, was attempting to expand'he indirect mailing capacity of AMSCROLL propaganda to Cuba. Station JMWAVE has encouraged AMSCROLL to contact relatives and friends in the various Latin American countries -for assistance in the mailing program so that the postmarks will be diversified in the face of reported Cuban screening and censorship of letters from the JMWAVE area. The attempt to enlist assistance in this effort is undertaken independently by AMSCROLL- that is to any Station JMWAVE ddes not run checks on individuala contacted. until and unless an agreement is reached beween them and 'AMSClL, Since it would be difficult for Station JEWAVE to have AMBSCOLL back off without creating possible security problems, we would suggest that you direct the recipient of the lettir mentioned in reference to decline on some appropriate pretext, 2. Your offer to arrange such assistance -through one of the civic action groups to which you have access is much appreciated, but at this point we would like to see whetherA&SCROLL's unilateral efforts are sufficient, If not, we might ask later if these facilities are.still available. 3.
