Papich FROM a Deputy Director (Plans) SUBJECT : Rolando CUMELA Becades 1. On 17 March 1961, Rolando CUBILA Secades telephoned from Ravana, Cuba, to a personal friend, Carlos TEPSDUO Gonzales, in New York City. CUBELA asked TBPEDINO to place an order for two car springs and to deliver the springs to Manual Manolito PERZ, a member of the Cuban delegation to the Peace Conference held in atzico City in early March 1961. FBRS3 and 31 Gordo Gerardo reportedly lived at the Rotel Tudor, Boom 1509, 304 Bast 42nd Street, New York. 2. The above information van given to a representative of this 4gency by Carlos TEPED1H0 Gonsalaes, a long-time contact. TEPEDIN is also a long-time acquaintance of CUBS1A. The latter individual is President of the Cuban University Students Federation, President of the newly formd Revolutionary Vigilance Comittee and delegate to the Peace Conference in thnico, 5 to 8 March 1961. T750, wbose address is listed in this Agency's file as 580 Fifth Avenue, New York City, care of Isidore DOLINGER Diamonds, is a Cuban jewler who formerly lived in Havana. He is also reported to be a partner in Corleta Incorporated, New York City, S. According to TDPSDIO, Manual Manlito PERES is a member of Cuban G-2, TEPEDINO indicated he is uncertain as to whether his friend CUBELA really desires the ear springs ordered or is meraly endeavoring to advise him, TIPEDIHO, that PEE is connected with Cuban intelligence. 4. This Agency's files reflect no pertinent identifiable infernation on Ul Gordo Gerardo, Manel PE.RM may be identical with Manel do Jesus PERE Rernandas, a secretary assigned to the Cuban Permaent Delegation to the United Nations. PERE has also been reported to be a member of G-2. S.
