1. Mexico City Station appreciates Headquarters' prompt processing and
renewal of Project LIFEAT.
2. In regard to the coments made by KUJUBE/flW and forwarded by reference,
the 3tation vishes to note that LIFEAT coverage is devoted primarily to support
the Station's CE program and the Station's operational program as well as to
cover targets the Station wishes done ] Very little information
of a positive intelligence nature is provided from this type of target line,
3. It is further noted that Soviet, B100 and Cuban coverages, which do
provide dissemir.able intelliffence, are covered by LIEN-VOY except in the case
of Yugosiav ard Polish coverage. Yugoslav coverage is presently being shifted
to LIIVOY. It was during the pericd when LIFEXr covered the Soviet and Czech
official installations that a greater number o: disseminations (noted in para-
graph 2 of reference) were made from LIFFAT material.
4. As to the routine interest of Subjects covered by LIPSAT, it was the
opinion of the Station that LIFEAf take, such as that on BSLARL)-i, was of ix-
terest to Thomas A. BRD.T anit of some interest to OGIDEAL himself.
5, In vicw of the coverage presently provided by LINCVOY, it is Station's
opinion that LIFEAT's best contribution will remain in proviulng
coverage keyed to the support of the Station's operations and special Headquarters
requests (such as coverage of persons of ERKNICK interest). In the event it
becomes necessary or desirable that LIFEA shift its operational emphasis, th
LIFEAT complex is ready to accomplish this opetional* re-adjustment rapidly.
