                            Dickinson for one year (1950-57), b4t left after that time because he
                            found it less than natisfactory or stimulatinr.  In 1957 he came to
                            Europe and toured around the continent.  Airing the latter pirt of 1957
                            and in 1958, he made two 3-month trips on visitor's vinas to the soviet
                            Union whore he lived with his uncle's family in kinek.  While there he
                            did attend some classes ht the Univesity,  but was not a regiotorA
                            stulent.  He stated that he has neveral cosine  there about hie age.
                            From 1956 until the present he has been etudyina at the Slavic Institute
                            here, and intends to take his examination in blavia Studied in January
                            1961.  lie will tak6;his examination in Enalish and Russian, becnuse
                            he has not mastercd Danish well onough to take it in Danish Is normally
                            required, he has agreed  verbally with the Instituto's authorities
                            that should he receive his decree, he will not undertake to obtain a
                            teaching position in Russian etudies in Lenmark.
