On July 22, 2008, we provided our preliminary observations to staff of your committees in response to the mandate. We will be reporting details on the information presented in the briefing in a future report. We are sending copies of this report to the appropriate congressional committees. We are also sending copies of our final report to the Secretary of Defense; the Under Secretary of Defense (Comptroller); and the Secretaries of the Army, Navy, and Air Force.
