            the Ngval Air Statloio(NAS), Glenview, Illinois. The-paynidnt
            made pursuant to our, ettleieuitcovered the use of three &pying
            machines for the pericd May 1975 through Jaurary 1976. Our
            advice of payment adcompanying the check explained that $153. 75,
            the reintal payment for April 1975. was disallowed because the
            Navy's uncompensated use of the machines did not begin until
            May 1975.
                Northrirge contends that it holds valid leases for, the machines
            and that the last payment by the' Nevy wah made on Mirch 17,
            1975. Thusr it requestspayment for usecof the equipment from
            *Marh 17, 1975, the date of the aleged last payment, until the
            date the equipment is rerarned at Government expense, which,
            it alleges, is call.ed for ny the leases.
                In rettrring the claim for settlementby this Office the Navy
            raised a quelation regirding the validity of the leases but agreed
            that monthly payments of $153. ?5, as provided in the lease docu-
            ments, representea fair compensation for use of 6e equipment.
