Florid. to Fort Pierce, Florida, and from there in West Palm Reach, FlorI.. under the following cireamstances. Mr. D'Alhuro, a Castoms Serr!oe employee stationed at Miami. Florida, states that he 0pp11ad ior a poaition with a duty locatiov in Weut Palm Beach, Florida. under Merit Promotion Vacancy Announcement No. IV-184, dated February 1, 1974. On February 22, 1974, he was verbally notified of his seletion for a position in Fort Pierce. Florida, and was told to repot there on February 25, 1074.. Mr. D'Alsuro *eceived an SF-50 dated February 27, 1974, whict remahigned hin effecttre March 3, 1574. That form stated Reai~signment at employee's own request and at 'no expense to the Government. The record shows that Mr. D'Alauro was tomewhat dis illusoned that he would bear the ezpenaes of the transfer, and that he requested that he be returned to Miam L Aceordingly, Mr. D'Alauro was subsequently detailed to Miami from Fort Pierce. effrctive Aprin 15. 1974, and was then transferred from Port Pierce to West Palm Beach on August 18, 1974.
