(SC), UN, 2127 Naval Air Station, .juonst Point, Rt., bring out a atter to which it is thought advisable to invite your attention, and which is reported sabtan- tially as folows The safeteria at the Naval Air Station, Quanset fint, R. I., Is operated as a conceein by Crotty Brothere, Rhode Island, Inc. (hom office, Boston, ase.), usder an agreement dated August 29, 1941, and runnint for a perIod of 5 yea. The contract provides for payments by Crotty of 4 percent gross receipts, exenpting therefrom milk, cigara, cigarettea, and tobaccos. A further provision specifies that the ao- tract is subject to cancellation by either party to it upon notice of 60 days of mnch intent. Under date of September 16, 1942, the agreement was modifled, bt a duly excuted supplemental asgrement to the extent only that the 4 percent was reduced to 2 percent. Crotty furnishes duplioate deposit slips (Union Trust . OCompanys East Greenish, R.I.) covering the total of daily receiptel these are verified by the Cafeteria Goanittee headed by Malcoln Farwre, Lt. (Jg).,03NR,as Chaimma of the Cocuttee and Treasurer of the Fund. The commision is referred to as Rental ComissionJ, it being in Un of rental of the cafeteria building and the Navy-owed gallq equipment (eqpuipment of the type onsidered as being permanent installations). The records of the Cafeteria Committee show that the GSemil received, based upon 4 percent gross reesipta, aannis-tto A6Mt 2,a and at 2 percent, to $56.49, or a total of $8,348.31 throuCh October 311 1942.
