The General Services Adainaistraticn (GSA) abort-term
car rental program provides an economical means of
transportation for Government travelers, but acme Papects of the
program require attention. The number of vehicles avalkble
under contract arrangements are insufficient to meet the needs
of Government travelers. There would be auhataotial savings if
GSA increased its vehicle contract rental stogza2. There is a
need for a more timely and useful car rental guide fcr travelers
to supply information on contractors and rental vates. Hcwevar,
there is no need for the full insurance coverage reguized for
contractors which exceeds State insurance law requirements and
