Dear Sirs

We have examined certain transactions affecting the JUMPS
Interim Leave System at the Air Force Accounting and Finance Center
(AFAFC) to determine how well the accounting and finance officer
(AFO) at your installation is carrying out his responsibility for
accurate and timely input to the system. This review is in addition
to our regularly scheduled audits of vouchers paid by Air Force AFOs,
the results of which were reported to you by our letter of November 21,
1972.

The examination included verification of the collection of pay
and allowances for excess leave reported to the AFO in May 1973 and
the reporting of leave used by enlisted personnel as shown on the
military pay order for leave ration credits processed by the AFO
during that month. We are pleased to report that no discrepancies
were disclosed.

The AFAFC examines, on a monthly basis, a sample of travel vouchers
paid by the AFO at your installation. For the period November 1972
through April 1973, its examination of 28 travel vouchers involving
delay en route disclosed no discrepancies thus indicating that adequate
control' are also in effect for that aspect of leave accounting.

                                  Sincerely yours,

                                  Irwin M. D'Ad ario
