You raised similar contentions in earlier correspondence to us. You also request that an investigation be commenced into alleged offenses by officers and employees of the United States. The issues you raise.appear to be related to your disagreement with the Treasury.Department about a tax matter. As we indicated in our letter of February 25, 1980, if you disagree with that Department, you should raise the matter before a court of competent jurisdiction. At any rate, we do not think the facts you present warrant our undertaking an investi- gation pursuant to 31 U.S.C. § 67 or other statutes authorizing audits or investigations by our Office.
