     We have exawined the provisivas of Chapter 11' Title 18$ United
states Code, a~nd Xenorandum. of Attoney 9eneral Regarding 'Conflict of   ,
interest Provisions of Public Law 87-84 ' February 1* 1963y. and find
no indication that the hiring of            as a member of your staff
wile receiving compensation as a member of the Taconta City Council
would be improper.

     In general, a conflict of interest exists only ythere on ofticar
