General Counsel Architect of the Winkelmann Capitol Dear Mr. Winkelmann: We reviewed the acquisition of properties authorized by Public Law 92-607, approved October 31, ,1972, as a site for parking facilities of the United States Senate. Our review was directed towards (1) the adequacy of procedures being followed in acquiring the properties, managing the properties until demolished or occupied by the Federal Govern- ment, and relocating the tenants, and (2) the compliance with the requirements of Public Law 91-646, approved January 2, 1971, which provides for uniform and equitable treatment of displaced persons and for uniform and equitable land acquisition policies. Generally, the activities we reviewed were being conducted satisfactorily. We noted several minor matters which we brought to your attention for whatever action you deem appropriate.
