In addition, incom- plete and outdated information on small businesses and delays in entering new firm names into the sys- tem prevent procurement representatives from identifying thousands of interested small firms SBA needs to improve its management and technical control in operating the current system Otherwise, the system may lose its credibility with procurement officials. This may reduce the opportunities for small businesses to compete for federal contracts.
