GSA Nonstores Procurement Program

Falls Far Short Of Its Objectives

The GSA nonstores program is a conglomera-
tion of procurement activities designed to
provide Federal agencies with a wide variety
of items not generally available through other
major GSA procurement programs. However,
weaknesses in the program's administration
have caused the program to fall short of pro-
viding economic and efficient customer
service.

Improved program management can save
millions of dollars each year through effective
motor vehicle consolidation, significant reduc-
tions in sole-source procurements, and better
use of limited resources.
