It is evident, however, that there is a need to alter the present procedures governing coproduction of weapon systems with foreign countries if the United States is to participate in major new coproduction agreements. This report examines the present method used to cooperatively produce weapon systems and the difficulties resulting from this method. A number of recommendations are made to alter the way coproduction programs are established and administered.
