A survey was performed of the Cepartment of Defense's
(LOD's) conduct of operaticnal tast and evaluation (CT&E) of
foreiqn built weapor. systems purchased or under consideration
tor procurement by the Army and Navy. Generally, tle operational
testing ot forciqn systems was performed effectively. There are
currently no regulations governing the testing af fcreign built
systems although Army, Navy, and Air force officials felt that
foreign eouipment is subject to the same general test policies
