         An update wis made of a prior analysis of the economic
impact of federally connected children on schocl districts to
reflect chanqes maae to the impact aid program ky the Education
Amerdments of 1974. The updated analysis showed similar results
to the oriqinal study. while the original 1976 report shewed
that 48% of the school districts studied would need property tax
increases ot less than 5% to replace ipact aid payments, this
tJqure was 42% in the current study. At the otter extreme, the
percentaqe of local educational agencis b hich would need
property tax increases of 25% or mcre increased from 151 to 19%
