         A review was performed to settle the Accounts of
accountable officers of the Library of Congress for fiscal years
1975 and 1976, including the transition quarter.
Findinqs/Conclusions: The review included vouchers and
supporting documents fcr those fiscal years and Lay and leave
records for calendar year 1976. matters disclosed were discussed
v ith the appropriate Library officials who stated that they
would take corrective action. The disposal of records through
September 30, 1976, was authorized. In acccdance with Title 8
of the GAO Policy and Procedures Manual for Guidonce of Federal
Agencies, the records should be transferred to the Vashington
National Records Center, using Standard Form 135 and Record
