      12 January 1973.
I Although 7ou have submitted nto additional data pertinent to
the question presented, we have reviewed both the Transportation

1972,it was bold that the first day of the first pay period on or
after January 1, 1973, was January 14, 1973. In view of the regu-

the legal basis for that decision and ince you have provided
nothing which vould serve as a basigs for dieregarding those author-

      may be reversed.

Therefore, upon review, we find no basis permittinC paymnat of
Your claim and affirm the decision of June 7, 1973.

                                        Sincerely yourst
