        We refer to your letter of May 7, 1973, reqsesttng reconsideration
   of the settlement of our Transportation and Clatm Division, datad
   April 30# 1973, which disallowed your claim for additional rokmburue-
   wont for shipnont of your household effects and additional travel
   allowanco frota your last duty station to your hone of record Incident
   to yeir separation from active duty on December 22, 1970, at HIcGuira
   Air Force ase, f ew Jerney.

        By Special Order No. ACA-32, dated November 12, 1970, you wore
   relieved from your overseas otation and aasigned to 438th Air Baso
   Group OHA), McCuire AP, New Jersey, for the purpose of separation.
   Mda order shows your hoEie of record as Ban Antonio, Texan, and the
   place rom which you wero ordered to nactive duty as an officer as
   *nthuon, flssachusette. It was a(Ldmistrativoly reported that upon
   separation you elected and were paid travel allowance to Itethuen,
   Kasnachumetts. At your requeat your household effects were shipped to
   lovaton, Taxaas, but you wore required to pay the difference :n cost
   between shipment to thet point and tho authorized destination (Kethuen,
   Kfaachuuetes) in the amount of $223.97.

        Subeequer-tly you submitted a clam for reinbursenet of the above
   mount d ad'.tioral travel allowances from l icuire AFB, New Jernsy,
   to Houston, Texas. The bois of your original claim was that you were
   nrroneously advised that yotr travel and hipment of household effects
   emtitlements were limited to the place from which you ware ozdereA to
   active duty (flethuan, 4asacusetts).

        by settlement of April 30, your claim was disallowed uder
   paragraphs 11417-1 and 118259-1 of the Joint Travel Rgulations (JTR).
   Paragraph 114157-1 provides that auwembor on active duty who is
