Selected Resources Note that the federal government typically assists businesses through loans rather than grants-though there are exceptions. Sometimes local and state governments may offer business grants (see section below on State, Local, and Philanthropic Resources). Small Business Administration The Small Business Administration's (SBA's) webpage Coronavirus Relief Options provides information on assistance programs made available by the CARES Act. * SBA Economic Injury Disaster Loans (EIDL) are low-interest loans and are still available to eligible small businesses. * The Emergency EIDL Grant program provided EIDL advance payments of up to $10,000, which did not need to be repaid, and which are no longer available. * The Paycheck Protection Program (PPP), perhaps the most prominent program, is no longer accepting applications.
