On February 13, 2020, the Department of Defense (DOD) transferred $3.8 billion from defense
procurement programs to the Army Operation and Maintenance account for use by the U.S. Army Corps
of Engineers (USACE) for the construction of 31 additional barrier projects along the southern border of
the United States.
