S Tnce y ou have done the Nation fo much right, and your Ives fo much honour as to declare that the People (under God) are the original of all jufi Powers; and given us thereby fair grounds to hop.-, that you really intend their Frecdom and Profperity ; yet the way thereunto being frequent- ly ipifiaken, and through haft or error of judgement, thofe who mean the bell, are many times mif-led fo far to the prejudice of thcfe that trufi them, as to leave them in a condition neereft to bQndage, when they have thought they had brought them into a way of Freedom.
