The addresses made on that occa- sion are collected in this volume of THE ANNALS. Although there was no session of the meeting devoted to the psychological aspects of the question, it was felt that they should be given consideration. We are there- fore grateful for the additional articles of Drs. Ruth Benedict, R. A. Brotemarkle, Gordon W. Allport, Gregory Zilboorg, and Morris S. Viteles.
