September 30, 1998, having considered the same, report favorably
thereon without amendment and recommend that the bill do pass.

I. PURPOSE AND SUMMARY
The purpose of H.R. 1553, introduced by Chairman Burton, is to
extend for one year the authorization of the Assassination Records
Review Board, in order to allow the Board to finish reviewing and
publicly releasing the Federal Government's records, and other
