                     The Committee on Foreign Relations to which was referred the
                   Convention on the Elimination of All Forms of Discrimination
                   Against Women, adopted by the United Nations General Assembly
                   on December 18, 1979, and signed on behalf of the United States
                   of America on July 17, 1980, having considered the same, reports
                   favorably thereon and recommends that the Senate give its advice
                   and consent to ratification thereof, subject to four reservations, five
                   understandings, and two declarations as set forth in this report
                   and the accompanying resolution of advice and consent to ratifica-
                   tion.
