                  PROVIDING FOR THE CONSIDERATION OF H.R. 1122, THE
                    PARTIAL-BIRTH ABORTION BAN ACT OF 1997 WITH SEN-
                    ATE AMENDMENTS

                             Mrs. MYRICK, from the Committee on Rules,
                                      submitted the following


                                           REPORT

                                       [To accompany H. Res. 262]
                    The Committee on Rules, having had under consideration House
                  Resolution 262, by a nonrecord vote, report the same to the House
                  with the recommendation that the resolution be adopted.
                            BRIEF SUMMARY OF PROVISIONS OF RESOLUTION
                    The resolution provides for the consideration of H.R. 1122, the
                  Partial-Birth Abortion Ban Act of 1997 with Senate amendments,
                  under a rule providing for a motion to concur in the Senate amend-
                  ments in the House. The rule provides one hour of debate divided
                  equally between the chairman and ranking minority member of the
                  Committee on the Judiciary.

                  rollcall vote on an amendment or motion to report, together with

                  tions except where continuation of the pregnancy would endanger
                  the life of the woman or risk grievous injury to her health, and sets
