                                 REAUTHORIZATION (WILD) ACT

                     The Committee  on Environment and Public Works, to which was
                   referred the bill (S. 2395), to reauthorize wildlife habitat and con-
                   servation programs, and for other purposes, having considered the
                   same, reports favorably thereon  without amendment and rec-
                   ommends  that the bill do pass.
                                GENERAL  STATEMENT  AND BACKGROUND
                     The Wildlife Innovation and Longevity Driver Reauthorization
                   (WILD) Act, S. 2395, would reauthorize the U.S. Fish and Wildlife
                   Service (USFWS)  Partners for Fish and Wildlife Program and the
                   Multinational Species Conservation Funds (MSCF).
                     The Partners for Fish and Wildlife Program provides technical
                   and financial assistance to private landowners to restore, enhance,
                   and manage   private land to improve fish and wildlife habitats.
                   Since the program  began  operating in  1987, the USFWS has
                   partnered with more than 60,000 landowners to care for more than
                   7 million acres of habitat for wildlife and people across America.
                   In 2022, 250 USFWS biologists  completed  1,877 wildlife habitat
                   projects across all states and U.S. territories, restoring and enhanc-
