                       The  Committee   on  Transportation  and  Infrastructure, to  whom
                     was  referred the bill (H.R. 1752)  to amend   the Public Works   and
                     Economic   Development Act of 1965 to provide for a high-speed
                     broadband   deployment   initiative, having considered the  same,  re-
                     ports favorably thereon  with  an amendment and recommends that
                     the bill as amended  do pass.
