                      The  Committee   on Science, Space, and Technology,  to whom  was
                    referred the bill (H.R. 4090) to amend  the Federal Fire Prevention
                    and  Control Act of 1974 to authorize  appropriations for the United
                    States  Fire Administration   and  firefighter assistance grant pro-
                    grams,  and for other purposes, having considered  the same, reports
                    favorably  thereon without  amendment and recommends that the
                    bill do pass.
