                     The Committee  on Education and  the Workforce, to whom  was
                   referred the joint resolution (H.J. Res. 45) providing for congres-
                   sional disapproval under chapter 8 of title 5, United States Code,
                   of the rule submitted by the Department of Education relating to
                   Waivers and Modifications of Federal Student Loans, having con-
                   sidered the same, reports favorably thereon without amendment
                   and recommends  that the joint resolution do pass.
                                              PURPOSE
                     The purpose of H.J. Res 45 is to disapprove of the rule related
                   to Waivers and Modifications of Federal Student Loans, which
                   was first announced on August 24, 2022, and published in the Fed-
                   eral Register on October 12, 2022.
