                      The  Committee   on Science, Space, and Technology,  to whom  was
                    referred the bill (H.R. 1734) to require coordinated National  Insti-
                    tute of Standards   and  Technology  science and  research activities
                    regarding  illicit drugs containing xylazine, novel synthetic opioids,
                    and  other  substances  of concern, and  for other purposes,  having
                    considered  the same, reports favorably thereon with an  amendment
                    and  recommends   that the bill as amended do pass.
