Purpose and Summary
H.R. 886, the Veteran Treatment Court Coordination Act of
2019, directs the Attorney General to permanently establish a
grant-program office, called the Veteran Treatment Court Program
(VTCP), to administer veterans court grants that the Department
of Justice (DOJ) awards to state, local, and tribal governments. The
VTCP would build upon the success of the hundreds of veterans
courts programs in the United States by standardizing data report-
ing methods, serving as a repository for resources, providing train-
