The Committee on Finance having considered an original bill (S.
2543) to amend titles XI, XVIII, and XIX of the Social Security Act
to lower prescription drug prices in the Medicare and Medicaid pro-
grams, to improve transparency related to pharmaceutical prices
and transactions, to lower patients' out-of-pocket costs, and to en-
sure accountability to taxpayers, and for other purposes, having
considered the same, reports favorably thereon without amendment
and recommends that the bill do pass.

fied, a bill that would amend titles XI, XVIII, and XIX of the Social
Security Act to lower prescription drug prices and strengthen safe-
guards related to prescription drugs, and for other purposes, re-
ports favorably thereon that the bill as modified by the Committee
do pass.
