H.R. 2359 would require the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) to submit a report to the
Congress on the availability of alternative treatments (such as yoga, meditation, acupuncture,
and chiropractic care) at VA medical facilities.

On the basis of information about the cost of complying with similar reporting requirements,
CBO estimates that implementing the bill would cost less than $500,000 over the 2020-2024
period; such spending would be subject to the availability of appropriated funds.

The CBO staff contact for this estimate is Ann E. Futrell. The estimate was reviewed by
Theresa Gullo, Assistant Director for Budget Analysis.
