handle is hein.congrec/ftstr0001 and id is 1 raw text is: CONGRESSIONAL BUDGET OFFICE a COST ESTIMATE June 8, 2018 S. 1459 Fort Sumter and Fort Moultrie National Historical Park Act of 2018 As ordered reported by the Senate Committee on Energy and Natural Resources on May 17, 2018 S. 1459 would redesignate the Fort Sumter National Monument in South Carolina, an existing unit of the National Park Service (NPS) system, as the Fort Sumter and Fort Moultrie National Historical Park. The bill also would codify the existing boundaries of the system unit. Redesignating the site may require NPS to update maps, handouts, and signage. Based on the costs of similar tasks, CBO estimates that those costs would be insignificant and would be subject to the availability of appropriated funds. Enacting S. 1459 would not affect direct spending or revenues; therefore, pay-as-you-go procedures do not apply. CBO estimates that enacting S. 1459 would not increase net direct spending or on-budget deficits in any of the four consecutive 10-year periods beginning in 2029. S. 1459 contains no intergovernmental or private-sector mandates as defined in the Unfunded Mandates Reform Act. The CBO staff contact for this estimate is Janani Shankaran.
