The bill would also authorize an additional $2 million annually from 2021 through 2025 for the vaccination awareness campaign. For this estimate, CBO assumes H.R. 951 will be enacted near the beginning of fiscal year 2022. Based on historical spending for similar activities, CBO estimates that implementing H.R. 951 would increase federal spending by $7 million over the 2022-2026 period, subject to the availability of appropriated funds.
