CONGRESSIONAL BUDGET OFFICE
U.S. Congress
Washington, DC 20515
Robert D. Reischauer
Director
May 13, 1991
MEMORANDUM FOR THE RECORD
FROM: Raymond Hall
SUBJECT: Annual Weapons List
Attached is the current version of Selected Weapons Costs from the
President's 1992/1993 Program. The primary sources for the budget authority and
quantities were the Congressional Data Sheets (CDS) and the Selected Acquisition
Reports (SAR). CBO outlay rates were used to estimate the outlays. The column
labeled outlays beyond the FYDP assumes that 100 percent of the budget authority
wilt be spent. Historical outlays indicate that slightly less than 100 percent of the
budget authority will actually be spent. The attached list is organized by service,
with Army weapons data starting on page A-1, Navy and Marine Corps data starting
on page N-1, and Air Force data starting on page F-1. Joint service or DoD
programs are included at the end, starting on page J-1. An asterisk * indicates that
the data are classified.
On April 26, 1991, the President submitted to Congress amendments to the
1992/1993 request for appropriations, changes which would help fund the
Department's restructured naval aviation plan and provide for adjustments in
funding for other Defense programs. The Weapons List reflects these budget
changes for the appropriate programs as indicated for fiscal years 1992 through
1997.
