In response to your request, the Congressional Budget Office has prepared a long-termn analysis of
Plan #2 in the December 2001 report of the President's Commission to Strengthen Social Security,
Strengthening Social Security and Creating Personal Wealth for All Americans. The CBO analysis
considers the impact that the proposed reform would have on the Social Security program, the
federal budget, the U.S. economy, and present and future beneficiaries.
