H.R. 601, as enacted (Continuing Appropriations Act, 2018 and Supplemental Appropriations for Disaster Relief Requirements Act, 2017), contains four divisions: Division A contains the READ Act; Division B contains the Supplemental Appropriations for Disaster Relief Requirements Act, 2017; Division C provides for a temporary extension of the public debt limit; and Division D contains the Continuing Appropriations Act, 2018. Division A (READ Act) codified many of the practices and programs relating to education assistance at the U.S. Agency for International Development. CBO estimates that Division A would not affect direct spending or revenues. Continued
