H.R. 5003, Kennesaw Mountain National Battlefield Park Boundary Adjustment Act of 2014 1 (October 3, 2014)

handle is hein.congrec/cbo1920 and id is 1 raw text is: CONGRESSIONAL BUDGET OFFICE
COST ESTIMATE

October 3, 2014

H.R. 5003 would adjust the boundary of the Kennesaw Mountain National Battlefield Park
in the state of Georgia. The bill would authorize the National Park Service (NPS) to acquire
about 8 acres of land, including the Wallis house and Harriston Hill, by donation or
exchange. Based on information provided by the NPS, CBO estimates that implementing
H.R. 5003 would cost $5 million over the 2015-2019 period to develop and operate the
new property. Enacting H.R. 5003 would not affect direct spending or revenues; therefore,
pay-as-you-go procedures do not apply.
H.R. 5003 contains no intergovernmental or private-sector mandates as defined in the
Unfunded Mandates Reform Act and would impose no costs on state, local, or tribal
governments.
The CBO staff contact for this estimate is Martin von Gnechten. The estimate was
approved by Theresa Gullo, Deputy Assistant Director for Budget Analysis.
