handle is hein.congrec/cbo1480 and id is 1 raw text is: CONGRESSIONAL BUDGET OFFICE COST ESTIMATE January 24, 2014 S. 1262 Veterans Conservation Corps Act of 2013 As ordered reported by the Senate Committee on Veterans'Affairs on November 19, 2013 SUMMARY S. 1262 would provide the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) $600 million to establish a conservation corps to employ veterans in conservation, resource management, historical preservation, and maintenance projects on public lands and as disaster relief personnel. CBO estimates that enacting the bill would increase direct spending by $600 million over the 2014-2024 period. Pay-as-you-go procedures apply because enacting the legislation would affect direct spending. Enacting S. 1262 would not affect revenues. The bill contains no intergovernmental or private-sector mandates as defined in the Unfunded Mandates Reform Act (UMRA).
